SAIGON – CU CHI – SAIGON HALF-DAY CITY TOUR (B/-/-)

Continue to Cu Chi to visit Cu Chi tunnels, where you have to become a true explorer when you crawl underground for an insight into life as the guerrillas during the Vietnam War. Be ready for a dark and sweaty experience you might never go through before!

Then start Saigon city tour, the first place is The Independence Palace symbolizes Vietnam's victory, peace, and territorial integrity. You will head to Can Tho about midday for overnight.

08:30am, our guide & driver will pick you up from hotel’s lobby for a full day tour by begin your first stop at The Independence Monument; designed by the Cambodian architect, Vann Molyvann, he was the foremost of a generation of architects who contributed to the unique style of architecture that emerged during 1950s-1960s and that has been coined New Khmer Architecture. With 37 meters tall in a form of lotus-shaped stupa was built in 1958 to memorialise Cambodia's independence from France in 1953.

Your next stop at Toul Sleng Genocide Museum or also known as prison number “S-21”. From 1975- 1979, Formerly a school building, S-21 the site served as an interrogation and extermination center, operated by the regime of “Democratic Kampuchea”, commonly known as the “Khmer Rouge regime. Prisoners were systematically tortured and murdered on site or on the killing field of Cheung Ek.

Then head out at South-West from the center about 15km to Choeung Ek or the best-known as the Killing Fields, it was a place where more than 17,000 civilians were killed and buried in mass graves; many of them transported here after detention and torture in Toul Sleng. This place is a chilling reminder of the brutalities of the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime. In the center of the area is a 17-story glass stupa which houses 8000 skulls exhumed from mass graves.

We come back to the city for lunch and tour in afternoon to visit the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda. Located within the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. The treasures found inside include a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90kilograms and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha. After finished of seeing a beautiful Royal Garden in palace, we’ll move to Wat Phnom “Mountain Pagoda” a pagoda on the only hill in town. According to legend, the first pagoda on this site was erected in 1372 to house four statues of Buddha deposited here by the waters of the Mekong River and discovered by Lady Penh. Hence the city name Phnom Penh or 'hill of Penh'.

Now time for you to rolling around the Central Market (Phsar Thmei), a large market constructed in 1937 in the shape of a dome with four arms branching out into vast hallways with countless stalls of goods. The four wings of this gigantic yellow dome are teeming with stalls that sell goods ranging from gold and silver, antique coins, money exchange, books, flowers, food, fabrics, shoes, souvenirs, seafood and countless other products. If time permitted, walk along 4 face rivers to take fresh air or take optional sunset cruise to view wonder sunset seeing Phnom Penh at evening.

PHNOM PENH – SIEM REAP (B/-/-)

Begin a trip to avoid the crowd by visiting to Ta Prohm - The Ancestor Brama & Jungle Temple, famously known as the Tomb Raider temple. Most of this temple is covered by gigantic trees that have grown over the ancient structures for over 600 years. Ta Prohm has been left untouched by archaeologists except for the clearing of a path for visitors and structural strengthening to stave off further deterioration. After Ta Prohm, head on over to Ta Keo, one of the biggest temples built during the Khmer Empire and it was built a couple of hundred years before Angkor Wat temple. Then visit the ruined Ta Nei temple that’s hidden in the jungle. Continue your trip to the Victory Gate of Angkor Thom where you will be welcomed by the four smiling faces of the King Jayavarman VII in the form of Buddha accompanied by gods and demons. This is a truly amazing sight. Enter through the gates to discover the impressive Angkor Thom temple complex (the Great City of King Jayavarman VII between 1181 – 1220 AD). The area consists of the Elephant Terrace, Leper King, Preah Paleilay, Ancient Royal Palace, Phimean Akas, Baphoun, and Bayon.

After lunch, you’ll visit to the World Heritage Site; the biggest Buddhist temple on the World. seeing the architectural masterpiece of Angkor Wat and stroll around this massive monument, exploring the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. Go back to hotel and relax.

After breakfast, departure for Hoa Lu - Tam Coc, enjoying the beautiful sceneries of the rural areas on the way.

After arriving in Ninh Binh province, the guide takes you to visit Hoa Lu - the Ancient Royal capital of Viet Nam. We will visit Dinh king temple and Le king temple, in the 10th century, finding out the heroic histories of this two Kings in Chinese Wars. After that, we go to Tam Coc (10 km far from Hoa Lu).

After lunch you will get on bamboo boat - rowed by the local people - in Hoang Long River to visit Tam Coc (three caves) on the way. You pass through three enormous caves that provide a brief respite from the intense summer sun. It takes approximately two hours to go up and down the river and along the way, you witness local fisherfolk, village life along the river and, of course, the striking limestone karst formations that Tam Coc is famous for.

Is USD accepted in Vietnam?
