HANOI ARRIVAL
Arrive in Hanoi and You’ll be warmly greeted at Hanoi airport and transferred to the hotel. If time permits, take an orientation tour and a chance to acclimatise ourselves.

HANOI – FULL DAY CITY TOUR – NIGHT TRAIN TO SAPA (B)
Enjoy full day experience to some must-see signature culture sights of Hanoi including: Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Former President’s House. Or you have an option to visit one of handicraft villages around Hanoi. Travel in style and back to 90’s with an overnight train from Hanoi to Lao Cai.

SAPA – TREKKING
On arrival in the border town of Lao Cai, have breakfast before driving to visit a local market (as schedule).
Continue with a short walk to a hill-tribe village. Here have the opportunity to visit some local homes to understand more about the daily life of these tribes as well as their culture and traditions.
Afterwards transfer by road up through the mountains to the former hill station town of Sapa, a base for tourists visiting the mountainous northwest. In the terraced hills and mountains of this area, the monotony of the expansive green landscape is enlivened by the colours of its hill tribe population - flashes of shining silver jewellery from the necks and wrists of indigo-clad H'mong and the scarlet hues of the turbans worn by the Red Dao can be seen. Observe the ethnic tribes stained hands with colour from fabric dye that come in various shades of blue, red and green and are intricately embroidered and stitched into jackets, waistcoats, pants, skirts, caps, purses and leggings.

Note: These local markets are only held on the above mentioned days, so it is recommended that the arrival coincides with one of these market days. Here see mostly Flower Hmong, however, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay, Nung hill tribe groups also gather here. The market offers a variety of local products, which could not be found in other areas such as an interesting animal market where pot-bellied pigs, cows, and buffalos can be seen.

SAPA TREKKING (B)
Start your amazing trekking day to the most impressive areas of Sapa. Drive up to Y Linh Ho Village of Black H’mong people from here, hike along small paths down the valley to the Muong Hoa River to visit Black H’mong village in Lao Chai. Continue to Ta Van village (1.2 km) to visit Zay hill tribe people. Return to Hanoi on highway by luxury bus or private transfer.

HANOI – HALONG (B, L, D)
Leave Hanoi and travel east to Halong Bay, one of Vietnam’s most picturesque and iconic destinations. Board a beautiful junk and spend a full day and night cruising the bay's 3000 magnificent limestone islets. In the afternoon, enjoy some visits and/or activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or just spend some time relaxing on board. An overnight boat trip is the best way to enjoy this Vietnamese must-see.

HALONG – HANOI – FLIGHT TO HUE (B, Brunch)
Enjoy miraculous sunrise over the islets of the Bay. The boat will take us to go about marvellous areas. Overland to Hanoi airport for onward flight to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. Its mesmerising tombs and mausoleums of the last emperors of Vietnam reveal fascinating insights into the lives of the imperial families and their subjects.

HUE CITY TOUR (B)
Following the breakfast, take a morning cruise on the serene Perfume River to Thien Mu and explore this sacred pagoda. Continue to the former Imperial Citadel and take full advantage of this World Heritage Site. Afternoon, visit a typical Hue garden house typical, the impressive tomb of former Emperor Tu Duc, and a village that crafts traditional conical hats. For a joyful day to be complete, sample Hue’s distinctive cuisine and folk music.

HUE – HOI AN (B)
Depart Hue and travel southwards to Hoi An, stopping en route to unwind atop the breathtaking Pass of Ocean Clouds and visiting the fascinating Cham Museum. In Hoi An we’ll be on foot to explore the charming and wonderfully preserved ancient quarter that retains Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and European influences from its old glory being a major seaport in Southeast Asia. In addition to the historic architectures, the area offers excellent shopping opportunities.

HOI AN COUNTRYSIDE (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel. Take a morning bike ride through the rural scenery of Hoi An to a small vegetable planting village located on the banks of Tra Que lagoon. Tra Que village has been known for its special aromatic herbs. Join local people in their daily works of planting and watering vegetables. Then learn to cook some local specialties. Enjoy what we have done for lunch.

HOI AN – DA NANG – FLIGHT TO SAIGON (B)
Transfer to Da Nang Airport after breakfast for the short flight to dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by the locals. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon, visit the most outstanding sights in the very centre of Saigon: the Reunification Palace, the War Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, the City Hall, Ben Thanh Market, etc.

SAIGON – CU CHI – SAIGON (B)
After breakfast, you will be met by your private guide and driven to Cu Chi, a small community located northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, known for its network of deep tunnels that provided shelter and an effective source of infiltration for the Viet Cong during the later years of the Vietnam War. Return to Saigon, free at your own leisure or take an optional Vespa Tour (payable).

SAIGON – MEKONG – SAIGON (B)
Leave for Ben Tre. There takes a walk along the waterfront, line with French era shops and house, before cruising on the Mekong River. visit one of the many coconut processing workshops and watch how the local open coconuts by hand (coconut husking) before cruising along the canals to a coconut candy workshop. Get a chance to learn all about the coconut candy making process. Taste honey harvested by the residents and the different kinds of tropical fruits. Cruise along local creeks through the villages to enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside.
Back to Saigon for overnight.
SAIGON – DEPARTURE (B)
Departure day. At leisure until transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for onward flight.
