Welcome to Hanoi - the capital of Vietnam and start your tour with us! Meet your tour leader and check in to your hotel at 2:00 pm before exploring this beautiful city with your tour guide.

Note: Check-in time: 14:00

DAY 02

HANOI – MAI CHAU (B/L/D)

Accommodation: Ecolodge

Distance: ~ 150km, ~ 3-hour drive (depending on traffic)

You will meet your private guide and driver at your hotel and embark on a four-hour scenic drive through the picturesque and spectacular mountains to Mai Chau; home to many of Vietnam’s 54 indigenous minority tribes. Mai Chau is a peaceful haven far apart from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi, as it is located in a picturesque valley surrounded by hills. You can choose to walk or ride bikes with your guide as you explore the villages of Pom Coong and Lac. With stilt houses and green rice paddy fields, Ban Lac and Pom Coong are quaint and serene ethnic Thai villages. Continue your day to visit Mo Luong caves and Chieu caves

DAY 03

BUOC VILLAGE – MAI HICH – BAN HANG (B/L/D)

Hiking/Trekking: ~ 4-6 hours

After breakfast, transfer to Buoc village, trekking from Buoc village to Mai Hich Village to indulge in the daily life of people there that remains unchanged through many generations. Then transfer from Mai Hich to Ban Hang by bus.

DAY 04

BAN HANG – EO KEN – KHO MUONG (B/L/D)

From Ban Hang, trek up to Eo Ken. Continue to Kho Muong - a village hidden deep in the Reserve’s Mountain range. Explore the huge limestone Karst Cave with giant stalagmites.

DAY 05

KHO MUONG – BAN HIEU (B/L/D)

Accommodation: Homestay

Hiking/Trekking: ~ 4-6 hours

After breakfast, continue your trekking route from Kho Muong Village to Hieu Village. Visit Hieu waterfall. Hieu Waterfall stands out in the green jungle deep inside Pu Luong Natural Reserve. Enjoy the spectacular view from top of the waterfall. Visit Love cave before arriving local house in Hieu Village for overnight.

DAY 06

HIEU VILLAGE – CUC PHUONG NATIONAL PARK (B/L/D)

In the morning, visit around Hieu Village. Afterward, transfer to Cuc Phuong National Park where you will trek around 3 hours in the jungle.

DAY 07

CUC PHUONG – NINH BINH – HANOI – TRAIN TO SAPA (B/L/D)

In the morning, visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center. Then we will drive to Ninh Binh, Tam Coc also known as “Dry Halong Bay”. On the way, we will stop to visit Hoa Lu, which used to be Vietnam’s capital during the 10th century. Arrive at Tam Coc, where we will embark a small rowing boat to discover the outstanding karst waterscape on Ngo Dong River. Tam Coc literally translates to “three caves” and is adorned with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites of all sizes shaped like gemstones. When rowing, enjoy the peaceful scenery of rice paddies lining the riverbank. Then transfer back to Hanoi for night train to Sapa.

DAY 08

LAO CAI – SAPA (B/L/D)

Arrive in Lao Cai in the morning. Driver will pick you up at the airport and transfer to Sapa. On the way, visit Ma Tra village, 5 km Northeast of Sapa. from the Matra we will trek up to Taphin through the forest. Reaching Ta Phin village where we get to know the daily lifestyles, handicraft tradition and specific custom of the Red Dzao tribe, enjoy landscapes…then bus will pick you back to Sapa

DAY 09

SAPA – CAT CAT – Y LINH HO – LAO CHAI – TA VAN (B/L/D)

You first sneak through the Sapa market and leave the busy town behind. After a couple of minutes, you follow a road going downhill to Cat Cat village. You will stop by a waterfall and a hydroelectric station for a while before continuing the trek on a dirt trail through rice paddy terraces. You will also enjoy spectacular scenery while walking along a narrow river. You eventually arrive in Y Linh Ho village of Black Hmong minority, where you can take a rest while you are served lunch nearby the river. After lunch, you head toward Muong Hoa valley. You will pass through Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority and then Ta Van village of Giay minority by following a very popular trekking route.

DAY 10

TA VAN – BAN HO (B/L/D)

Accommodation: Homestay

Hiking/Trekking: ~ 4-6 hours

Have breakfast and leave the family for the next village. Visit the Red Dzao in Giang Ta Chai village by way of terraced paddy fields and bamboo forests. Enjoy the natural beauty of the Silver Waterfall and Rattan Bridge. Cross the river and continue to BanHo village where the Tay people reside. On the way, stop off to meet the Red Dzao and the Black H'mong people in Supan village. Picnic lunch en route. Dinner and home stay with a Tay family in Ban Ho village.

DAY 11

BAN HO – NAM TOONG – NAM CANG – YEN BAI (B/L/D)

From Ban Ho trekking up to Nam Toong village. Passing the waterfall in Nam Cang you will arrive My Son village home of Xa Pho minority people. Bus will pick you up for Nam Cang for transfer to Hanoi.

Leave Hanoi in the morning and head straight to Halong – Lan Ha Bay, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site with its 3,000 islands of towering limestone dotting the bay and Gulf of Tonkin. Upon arrival, you will board a beautiful boat for an overnight cruise in the bay with an excellent menu of fresh seafood.

LAN HA BAY – HANOI – DEPARTURE (B/BR/-)

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the aquamarine waters of the bay at its best. After tea/coffee and pastries have been served, the boat will continue to cruise quietly through the spectacular limestone formations. Enjoy this more isolated part of the bay’s spectacular and unique islands. You will return to the harbor after a very hearty brunch on board for your trip back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi, visit Hanoi Old Quarter, Dong Xuan Market. After dinner, transfer to Hanoi international airport to take a flight home.
