Yes, with one condition: Da Nang suits a honeymoon that wants comfort and things to do, not seclusion. It is a long city beach lined with large international resorts, a short drive from Hoi An, with an international airport at the end of it. That combination makes the trip easy. It does not make it private.
That distinction decides everything else on this page. A resort here is a large building on a public shoreline with a few hundred other guests in it. If the picture in your head is an empty bay and a villa nobody can see, Da Nang will disappoint you, and it will do so expensively.

One more fork worth settling early. Many couples who book this coast do not spend every night on it - they split, taking a few nights at the beach and one or two in Hoi An itself, which is a walkable old town rather than a resort strip. If that sounds like the better shape, where to stay in Hoi An is the other half of the decision. Splitting costs you a transfer and buys you two completely different evenings.
Central Vietnam has a wet, typhoon-exposed part of the year, and a honeymoon is the wrong trip to gamble on it. You get one, the dates are usually fixed months in advance, and it is expensive. Everything else on this page is a preference. This part is not.
How to read the table. The seasonal shape below follows our own dated material - our live Da Nang seasonal guidance and internal content outline STT 410, approved 2026-08-23 - and it is written as ranges, deliberately. Central Vietnam's weather does not run to a calendar, and any guide handing you a month-by-month number without a capture date is guessing on your behalf. Confirm conditions for your specific dates before you pay a deposit. No figure in this table is a measurement.
Now the trade-off nobody selling you a package will mention: the calm, dry months are also the crowded, expensive months. A resort in peak season is not a private resort. The pool you saw photographed empty has loungers on every side of it and a queue at the swim-up bar, and the restaurant you wanted for a quiet dinner is fully booked by families who arrived the same day.
So the honest sweet spot for a couple is usually the edge of the good season rather than the middle of it - late in the settling stretch, or the first part of the peak before the school holidays land. You lose very little weather and you gain a materially quieter property. If your dates move at all, that is the single highest-value change you can make to this trip.

The area decision comes before the property decision, and getting it right narrows a list of thirty resorts to about five. It is also the part a booking site structurally cannot do for you, because every property here is listed as "Da Nang" and they are not the same place at all.
The coast runs roughly north to south. The airport and the river city sit inland at the northern end, the beach runs south from there, and Hoi An is at the far southern end. So the further south you stay, the closer you are to Hoi An and the further you are from the airport and from anywhere to eat that is not your resort. That relationship is the whole geography, and it holds for every property on this page.
Drive times are approximate and subject to traffic and weather conditions. Our own two sources currently disagree on the Hoi An run, giving 30 minutes and forty-five minutes respectively, so treat it as roughly 30 to 45 minutes depending on where on the coast you start, and confirm it with us for your specific property.
My Khe and the city end. The busiest and most convenient stretch, with the shortest airport transfer and the most life outside the resort gate. The honeymoon cost is that it is a public city beach: joggers at dawn, football in the evening, and a resort frontage that is not yours. For a couple who wants to be part of a place rather than sealed off from it, that is a feature, not a fault.
An Thuong. Not beachfront - a grid of streets set back behind it, full of small restaurants and bars. Excellent if you intend to have dinner somewhere different every night. Genuinely poor if you want silence, because the evenings are loud and the buildings are close together. Couples book this deliberately or regret it entirely; there is not much middle ground.
The southern stretch toward Non Nuoc. Quieter sand, larger sites, more space between properties, and almost nothing within walking distance. This is where the resort has to earn its keep, because every meal you do not take on site is a taxi each way. Right for a couple who wants to disappear for five days. Wrong for a couple who will be restless by day three.
The Da Nang - Hoi An coastal road. The strip that makes sense if Hoi An, not Da Nang, is your evening plan. You are furthest from the airport and closest to the old town, and you are effectively committing to a car for everything else.
This is the distinction the search results will not draw for you. A honeymoon resort and a large family resort selling a honeymoon package are different products, and both will show you the same photograph of two glasses on a balcony.
The test is not what the package contains. It is what the property is for on the day you arrive. A resort built around a water park, a kids' club and a school-holiday peak is an excellent family resort and a poor honeymoon, and no quantity of rose petals changes the fact that the pool has forty children in it.
Ask these of any property on this coast, in writing, before you pay:
Not "is it family-friendly" - every resort says yes to that. Ask about the facilities, because facilities determine who books.
If a resort's busiest weeks are the international and domestic school holidays, it is a family resort. That is not a criticism of it. It is a fact about your honeymoon.
A property with several hundred rooms and two restaurants will have a queue. Room count set against dining capacity tells you more about the atmosphere than any photograph.
Age policies change. Get the current one from the property, for your dates, rather than from a listing page.
The resorts whose own websites dominate this search are the ones you already have open in a browser tab. Here is the honest sort, by what each property is built around rather than by star rating.

A large international-brand resort buys you redundancy. Three restaurants means one of them can be full. A staffed desk at 2am means the air conditioning gets fixed. A spa with six treatment rooms means you get the time slot you wanted. On a trip where things going wrong is disproportionately expensive emotionally, that is worth real money.
A boutique or villa property buys you fewer people. You will not queue and you will not be seated between two high chairs. The trade is that when the one restaurant closes on a Tuesday, that is the entire dining offer, and on this coast "just walk somewhere else" is only true in two of the four areas above.
Neither is the right answer in the abstract. The question is whether your honeymoon fails worse from a crowd or from a closure.
Be unimpressed by default. The standard package on this coast is petals on the bed, a fruit plate, a bottle of something sparkling and a late checkout. That is decoration. It costs the resort very little and it is priced as though it were an upgrade.

An evening in Hoi An. The old town after dark, with lanterns on the river, is the thing couples talk about afterwards, and it costs almost nothing. The honest note: it is busy, and it is busiest exactly when it is prettiest. Go early in the evening and stay after the tour groups leave, or go on a weekday. The Hai Van pass and the Son Tra headland, by private car. Why this works for two: neither of you is driving, you stop where you want, and the conversation is uninterrupted. On a motorbike or a group bus it is a completely different day.
The Marble Mountains. Caves and viewpoints, and a genuine climb in the heat. Why this works for two: it is short. You can do it before the day gets hot and be back at the pool by lunch, which is the right shape for a honeymoon.
One deliberately empty beach day. Not a plan - an anti-plan. Couples over-book honeymoons more than any other travelers and then spend the week tired. Leave one full day with nothing in it.
One good dinner that is not in the resort. Even from the quiet southern coast. Resort dining is competent, and it is the same room you had breakfast in. One taxi into the city changes the week more than most excursions do.
On Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge: we are not going to sell it to you. The photographs are famous and the site is extremely busy for most of the day. If you go, go at opening or stay for the end of the day. It is not a honeymoon highlight, and treating it as one is how couples end up queueing on the one trip where they are not in a hurry.

Not fraudulent. Selected. Four categories account for almost all of the gap between the listing and the room:
That is the most avoidable unpleasant surprise here. Before you confirm, ask the property two direct questions: what is immediately next door on each side, and is anything under construction within sight or earshot of my room category? Then ask which side of the building your room is on. A resort cannot control the empty lot beside it, but it can tell you what is in it - and a property that will not answer that in writing has answered it.
Couples reliably spend the upgrade money on the view. The upgrade that actually changes a honeymoon is usually position and quiet: a room away from the pool deck and the family wing, on a high floor or at the end of a block, with outdoor space you will genuinely sit on. On a large resort, ask for a room block rather than a room type. It is often free, and almost nobody thinks to ask.
The second-best request is a late-arrival plan. Honeymoons frequently begin with a long flight and a connection. Ask what happens if you arrive at 11pm - is the kitchen open, is the transfer met, is check-in staffed. That question tells you more about a property than its star rating does.
Do not move your honeymoon into the wet season because the flights were cheaper.
It is the most common mistake made on this coast and it is the one that cannot be fixed once you have arrived. The October and November discounts are real, and so is the reason for them: the sea gets rough, swimming can be flagged off, boat trips get canceled, and the rain is not a shower. A beachfront resort in those weeks is not a bargain. It is the wrong booking at a lower price.
If cheap flights are the real constraint, the fix is not to accept the season. It is to change the coast - Phu Quoc runs on a different weather pattern - or to move the trip by a few weeks, or to choose a property where the pool, spa and dining carry the week regardless of the sea. We would rather talk you out of the dates than sell you a week of rain.

Most are not. A small number operate adults-only areas or age policies, and those policies change, so get the current one from the property in writing for your dates rather than trusting a listing.
Only if it contains a real room-category change, a genuinely separate private dining setting, or a transfer. Petals, a fruit plate and a late checkout are decoration, and are frequently free anyway if you tell the hotel it is your honeymoon.
Most couples land on five to seven nights, often split between the beach and a night or two in Hoi An. Fewer than four nights on the quiet southern coast is not worth the transfer time.
